Get your running shoes ready - Dubrovnik Runway Run coming soon

Dubrovnik in recent years has become a centre for sporting events, especially for runner mainly thanks to the Du Motion organisation and its ever popular Dubrovnik Runners’ Day events, which includes a half marathon. But this running event is truly special. Lovers of running and recreation have the opportunity to experience a unique sporting experience - running on the runway of the Dubrovnik airport. Namely, a new edition of Runway Run, the only race of its kind in Croatia, has been announced, which Du Motion is organizing for the fourth time in cooperation with Dubrovnik airport.

"We are looking forward to returning to the Dubrovnik airport, which from the very beginning proved to be an organizationally demanding, but also extremely attractive location. Due to the positive reactions of the runners, the race has now become a tradition. For many, it will also be a great preparation for the seventh Du Motion - Runners' Days Dubrovnik, which will be held at the end of April," said the director of Du Motion, Alen Bošković.


With a length of 5 kilometres and held at dusk, the Runway Run will attract both beginners and experienced runners who want to experience something new. It is truly an unusual experience, running along the runway of Dubrovnik airport, a runway that in the summer months attracts planes from all over the world.

The race is open to a maximum of 150 participants, and you can register by March 3 through the official website of Du Motion, provided that they are at least 16 years old.

The entry fee is only 20 euro, and the package for runners includes an official race t-shirt, attractive medal, starting number, official timing, refreshments, free parking at the airport parking lot and entertainment after the race. It is sure to be another successful event and one that will again draw runners from all over the world.
