Dubrovnik's iconic cable car has earned its place on the prestigious list of the top ten cable car rides in the Mediterranean. The renowned Italian newspaper TGCOM.24 featured an article titled "The most spectacular cable cars on the sea in the Mediterranean," in which Dubrovnik's cable car was highlighted.

The article describes the city's cable car, which was initially constructed in 1969, as connecting the outskirts of Dubrovnik with the magnificent peaks of Mount Srđ (or St. Sergius) at an impressive altitude of 405 meters in just four minutes. It emphasizes the breathtaking panorama it offers, allowing visitors to behold the city from an unusual and remarkable vantage point. Although the original structure was destroyed during the Croatian war of independence, it was replaced with a more modern and functional one.

As the cabins ascend, the Adriatic Sea unfolds below, unveiling Dubrovnik's ancient beauty. At the top, panoramic vistas await, offering enchanting views of Dubrovnik's charm and the mesmerizing fusion of sea and city.

The article also showcases other Mediterranean cable car rides, including Monte Solaro in Capri, Mazzarò-Taormina in Sicily, Trapani-Erice in Sicily, Rapallo-Montallegro in Liguria, Castellammare di Stabia in Campania, Santorini in Greece, Benalmadena in Malaga, the Port of Barcelona in Spain, and Lido di Spina chairlift in Ferrara.
